Cookie Policy

The sections below explain the technologies used on this website, the choices available to you and how to contact us about those choices. The inventory distinguishes service information, consent-manager records and provider defaults.

Effective date: 11 October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how The Wedding Planning Corporation ("TWPC," "we," "us" or "our"), which operates theweddingplanningco.com, uses cookies and similar technologies on https://theweddingplanningco.com. Read it with our Privacy Policy at https://theweddingplanningco.com/privacy-policy/. TWPC operates a vendor directory and editorial platform. Vendor subscriptions are paid; wedding submissions are free and publication is discretionary. TWPC does not provide vendor booking or wedding-payment services.

1 Technologies covered

Cookies are small files placed on a device through a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, tags, embedded scripts and other methods of storing information on, or accessing information from, a device. References to cookies in this Policy include these technologies where relevant. A technology does not fall outside this Policy merely because it is described as cookieless.

First-party cookies are associated with the website you visit. Third-party technologies involve another provider. Session cookies generally expire when a browsing session ends; persistent cookies remain until their stated expiration or earlier deletion. Some technologies transmit information without storing a conventional cookie.

2 Cookie inventory

The following service-level inventory was updated on 11 October 2026. TWPC uses WordPress account and security functions, SureCookie preference controls, Airwallex subscription checkout, Google reCAPTCHA and, where enabled, Google Analytics and Meta Pixel. Vimeo-related entries are also present in the consent manager for embedded video. A video service is relevant when its embedded content is loaded; a vendor’s ordinary external link is different from an embedded player.

TWPC / WordPress and SureCookie: first-party account, security and preference information supports sign-in, request protection and remembering cookie choices on this domain. The 11 October 2026 prelaunch check recorded wordpress_test_cookie with a session expiry, and surecookie_session_id and surecookie_user_consent with expirations approximately one year ahead. These observed expirations are not guarantees for every browser. SureCookie is configured to remember consent for 365 days and remove consent logs older than 365 days through scheduled cleanup. Necessary account functions cannot be switched off through optional-category controls; browser blocking may prevent login or form use.

Google Analytics: where enabled, optional analytics records device/browser identifiers, pages and events, referral information and approximate location to measure website use. Google’s GA4 cookies include _ga and _ga_<container-id>; Google documents a two-year default, subject to site settings and browser limits. That default is not a verified statement of every live cookie lifetime on TWPC. Analytics is controlled through the analytics preference. See Google Privacy Policy and Google Analytics cookie details.

Meta Pixel: where enabled, optional marketing technology sends online identifiers, device/browser information, page visits and relevant interaction events to Meta for advertising measurement and audience-related purposes. It can involve first-party identifiers and third-party requests even without a conventional cookie. Identifier names and lifetimes depend on the deployed configuration and browser. Use the marketing preference and see Meta Privacy Policy and Meta Cookies Policy.

Google reCAPTCHA: security, fraud and anti-abuse risk analysis receives device and interaction information when a protected form is used. On vendor sign-in and registration pages, reCAPTCHA loads when you open the form, even if you reject optional cookies, to provide the anti-abuse protection required for those forms. Google processes reCAPTCHA Customer Data on TWPC’s behalf under the Google Cloud Terms of Service and Cloud Data Processing Addendum. The consent-manager entry records _GRECAPTCHA with a 180-day duration; this is an inventory value, not a measured lifetime for every visitor. reCAPTCHA is used to protect forms, not as permission for unrelated advertising.

Vimeo and associated security: Vimeo scripts and frames are configured as optional embeds. When allowed, the player can load resources from Vimeo, its content-delivery and security providers, and Google-hosted scripts. The 11 October 2026 prelaunch check recorded Vimeo-related cookies including __cf_bm on .vimeo.com with an expiry of approximately 30 minutes, __cf_ob on player.vimeo.com with a session expiry, and cf_clearance on .vimeo.com with an expiry of approximately one year. The latter two were partitioned to this website in that browser. These are observations from that browser session, not guaranteed lifetimes for every visitor. The consent-manager catalogue separately records vuid for analytics (730 days), and player for player functionality (365 days). These catalogue entries were not observed in that check and are not measured live lifetimes. See Vimeo privacy information.

Website fonts: the fonts used for TWPC page design are hosted by TWPC. Separately, reCAPTCHA can load Google-hosted fonts inside its security interface. Authorised administrative and editor views, including editor previews, may load Google Fonts and Hostinger assistant resources for website administration.

Airwallex: its payment environment uses technologies for checkout, fraud prevention and transaction security. Airwallex receives payment, device and transaction information under its Global Privacy Policy. Payment technologies are associated with a requested subscription transaction; they do not authorize unrelated TWPC advertising.

The entries above distinguish operator-confirmed services, consent-manager records and provider defaults. The technologies involved depend on the pages and features you use, such as sign-in, checkout, forms and embedded content. A provider’s cookie lifetime is different from its retention of information already received.

3 Necessary technologies

Necessary technologies support functions required to deliver a service you request, such as maintaining an authenticated vendor session, protecting a form against abuse, completing a vendor-subscription transaction securely or remembering your privacy choices. We limit their use to the relevant necessary purpose. Advertising or audience tracking is not treated as necessary merely because it supports our business.

These technologies are not disabled through optional-cookie settings. Your browser may allow you to block them, but the requested function may then be unavailable. A payment provider may operate its own technologies within its payment environment; the inventory and relevant provider notice identify the applicable arrangements.

4 Optional technologies

Optional functionality technologies can remember convenience preferences or provide enhanced features beyond what is necessary for the service requested. Analytics technologies can measure page visits, interactions and website performance. Advertising technologies can measure campaigns, attribute visits or support personalized advertising across services. Embedded video, social media or other third-party content can involve the provider receiving information about your device and interactions.

Our policy is to obtain permission before activating optional analytics, marketing or embedded-content technologies. Necessary functions are treated separately. The inventory describes the purposes, providers and choices relevant to the technologies we actually use.

The consent manager is configured to block managed scripts and embeds until permission is given. The controls apply to technologies integrated with that manager; if you believe a preference is not being applied, contact us at info@theweddingplanningco.com so we can investigate and act on your request.

5 Making and changing your choices

Use Cookie Settings / Your Privacy Choices to accept optional categories, reject all optional technologies or change your choices. Optional categories are off until you select them. Closing a notice, scrolling or continuing to browse does not constitute permission. We do not make access to the directory or editorial content conditional on accepting optional tracking.

You may withdraw permission at any time through the same settings. Withdrawal stops future consent-based activity for the affected technologies; it does not retrospectively invalidate processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Cookies already stored by a third-party provider may remain until they expire or are removed through browser controls; stopping an embedded player does not by itself erase those cookies or information already received by the provider. Our Privacy Policy explains your separate rights concerning information already collected.

We retain a record of your choice and the notice presented when appropriate. Browser changes, cleared storage or a different device may require you to make a choice again. This does not limit any obligation to apply an identified person's privacy request across their account or other data.

6 Third party content and external websites

Optional third-party scripts and embeds registered with the consent manager are configured to remain inactive until permission is given. The relevant notice identifies the provider and explains the associated activity. Withholding permission may prevent that particular feature from loading while allowing you to continue using other website content.

Following a vendor link or another external link takes you to a separately operated service. That service's cookie and privacy practices apply there. Permission given to TWPC is not blanket permission for unrelated uses by another organization.

7 United States privacy choices

Certain disclosures through advertising or tracking technologies may constitute a sale, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising or processing for targeted advertising under applicable state law, even where no money changes hands. Our Privacy Policy identifies whether these activities occur and explains applicable opt-out rights and request methods.

Where applicable law requires a recognized opt-out preference signal, including Global Privacy Control, to be honored, that obligation applies to the activities covered by the signal. You may also submit an opt-out through Cookie Settings or info@theweddingplanningco.com. A generic cookie acceptance does not override a legally effective opt-out. The scope of a signal, including its application to an associated account, is determined under applicable law. Traditional Do Not Track is different from a legally recognized opt-out preference signal. Use Cookie Settings or contact us to make or confirm a choice; a legacy browser signal should not be relied on as confirmation that a particular category is disabled.

8 Data protection and retention

Cookie information can include identifiers, device and browser details, IP addresses, pages viewed and interactions. The inventory specifies the information associated with each technology. Where this information is personal data, our Privacy Policy explains the purposes and legal bases for processing, recipients, retention, international transfers and applicable rights, including rights under the EU GDPR and UK data protection law where they apply.

A cookie's expiration is distinct from the retention period for information already collected through it. We disclose relevant periods or retention criteria in the inventory and Privacy Policy. Deleting a cookie does not necessarily delete information previously received by us or a provider.

9 Changes and contact

We update this Policy and its inventory when our technologies or practices change. Where a new purpose or provider requires fresh permission, we obtain that permission before the relevant activity begins. Posting a revised Policy does not itself establish your consent.
